Trouble shooting:
To reset a Star WebPRNT printer to factory default settings:


Interface IFBD-HE07X - (Legacy WebPRNT)
  • Power down the printer and disconnect it from the network.
  • Power up the printer and allow it to go through it's boot sequence.

  • Push and hold the reset button at the rear of the printer until the lights flash red and green (use a pen tip).
  • Release and push the reset button again.

Interface IFBD-HI01X - (Supports CloudPRNT & WebPRNT)
  • Reset can be done connected to or disconnect from the network.
  • Power down the printer.
  • Power up the printer and allow it to go through it's boot sequence.

  • The boot sequence takes approximately 45 seconds.
  • LED colors (disconnected) - white, red, green, yellow & finally off.
  • LED colors (connected) - white, red, green & finally yellow.

  • Use a pen to press and hold down the reset button.
  • Initially the LED flashes yellow/green, wait until you see the red light flashing then let go of the reset button. The red light should then turn solid.
  • Once you see the red light solid, tap the reset button again. The red light should then go away.
  • Lastly wait till you hear the startup noises. That confirms the printer has been reset.
  • Confirm with a self-test page that the printer was able to reset the NIC card properly.

  • Note: If the printer is disconnected from the network, the self-test does not print configuration details.
